Dad was an extremely skilled joiner and undertook numerous DIY tasks for William and Karen. If he came to Leeds to do jobs from Karen, he would generally turn up at 6am, bring his own flasks of tea, lots of tupperware or old icecream boxes filled with elevenses, lunch, tea. He would never stay or let me buy him dinner. He’d tut at Richards poor attempts at DIY and then correct the work!
